ROXAS City – A mentally-ill woman was pelted with stones in Barangay Lawaan here. She sustained a wound on the head.
Concerned citizens brought the woman, known only by her nickname “Arikis”, to the police station for first aid treatment.
Witnesses said Arikis was stoned by a male passerby who got angry when she suddenly grabbed his beard.
At the police station, the woman was treated by the medical personnel of the Capiz Emergency Response Team.
The unidentified man left after pelting the woman with stones, witnesses said./PN
