MAMBUSAO, Capiz – A nine-year-old girl crossing the highway in Barangay Atiplo here got hit by a speeding multicab.
She was rushed to the Mambusao District Hospital but was declared “dead on arrival” by attending physicians.
The girl sustained severe head and body injuries, police said.
The multicab driver, Marve Denosta Dumolong, was a resident of Barangay Piña, Maayon, Capiz.
He voluntarily surrendered to the Mambusao police station.
If the family of the girl so decides, Dumolong could face a charge for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide./PN
