Infrastructure Competitiveness is one of the four pillars of the Cities and Municipalities Competitive Index (CMCI). The three others are Economic Dynamism, Government Efficiency and Resiliency.
This also refers to the physical building blocks that connect, expand and sustain a locality and its surroundings in the provision of goods and services.
The 10 award indicators were Health Infrastructure, Education Infrastructure, Availability of Basic Utilities, Annual Investments in Infrastructure, Connection of ICT, Existing Road Network, Distance from City/Municipality Center to Major Ports, DOT-Accredited Accommodations, Number of Public Transportation Vehicles, and Number of ATMs.
CMCI is an annual ranking of Philippine cities and municipalities developed by the National Competitiveness Council with the assistance of the United States Agency for International Development.
The annual CMCI survey is facilitated by the Regional Competitiveness Committees.
Competitiveness indicator systems are used as guidelines in forming the framework behind the Index.
