ILOILO City – The motorcycle they were riding crashed against a pickup in Barangay Poblacion, San Rafael, Iloilo.
The 19-year-old motorcycle driver Mark Predroso and his backrider Ralf Gavani sustained injuries on the body, a police report showed. They received treatment at the Gov. Niel D. Tupas Sr. District Hospital in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
According to police investigation, the victims were navigating the road when a pickup driven by Anthony Gumban, 39, village chief of Barangay Poblacion, hit them around 9:30 a.m.
But it was not immediately clear what circumstance led to the accident.
Gumban was brought to the San Rafael municipal police station where he was detained./PN
