Village chief’s son falls in drug sting

BACOLOD City – The son of a village chief in Barangay Libacao, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental was nabbed in a drug sting operation.

Nine sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P68,000 were seized from resident Antonino Immanuel Limsiaco, a police report showed.

The 24-year-old was the son of Libacao village chief, Antonio Limsiaco, and brother of City Councilor, Marian Antoinette Limsiaco.

According to the police, a poseur-buyer bought from the suspect a sachet of shabu for P1,000.

Policemen of Himamaylan staged the entrapment around 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 24.

They took suspect in custody for filing of appropriate charges./PN
