ILOILO City – What started out as a drinking spree between three men turned to hacking in Barangay Guinbunyugan, Calinog, Iloilo.
Wilmar Libuna, 38, of Barangay Marandig, Calinog; residents Alvin Libuna, 38; and Rommel Gallego, 37, were recuperating at the Calinog District Hospital. They all sustained hack wounds after the Feb. 13 incident, police said.
According to police investigation, the Libunas allegedly hacked each other around 2:30 p.m. after a heated argument.
Gallego saw the incident and tried to pacify the two but he also got hacked by Alvin.
Gallego retaliated, hacking Alvin on the different parts of the body.
As of this writing, it was still unclear what triggered the altercation./PN
