Panay News is the No. 1 regional newspaper coming out daily. But as the saying goes, Rome was not built in a day.
Panay News started as a weekly newspaper, with its maiden issue unveiled on April 7, 1981.
The metamorphosis in frequency was a test of will, considering the limited printing logistics at the time. But it did happen gradually. From weekly, Panay News became semi-weekly to tri-weekly, and finally to daily.
Today, Panay News pushing 40 remains the undisputed “king” of the print media in the region.
