BACOLOD City – Member-consumer-owners (MCOs) of Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. (Ceneco) gladly welcomed the decrease in power rate this month.
“The average residential rate for the billing month of March 2021 is P11.5038 per kilowatt hour (kwh),” Ceneco said in an advisory, noting that this is a “P0.0658/kwh decrease from February’s rate of P11.5696/kwh.”
According to Ceneco acting general manager Danny Pondevilla, the power rate reduction was attributed to the decrease in Palm Concepcion Power Corp.’s fuel cost and the wholesale electricity spot market price.
In another development, Ceneco’s District Election Committee (DEC) proclaimed the newly-elected district representatives (East and West) of this city.
Father Ernie Larida and Antonino Panique were the new representatives of District 4 (Bacolod East) and District 5 (Bacolod West), respectively.
Polling precincts for District 5 were situated at the Don Jose R. Torres Elementary School while the District 4 election was conducted at the Ceneco Mabini Main Office.
The district representatives are expected to voice out concerns of their MCO constituents./PN
