ILOILO City – A school teacher in Barangay Pani-an, Estancia, Iloilo faces a string of criminal charges.
The 54-year-old Reno Dichosa was arrested for alleged violation of Republic Act 8485, or The Animal Welfare Act of 1998, illegal discharge of firearm, and malicious mischief, police said.
Dichosa was nabbed around 6:30 a.m. on March 28. Businessman Jupiter Barres, 67, claimed the suspect shot his cow.
The teacher was detained in the custodial facility of the Estancia police station.
Recovered from his possession was a .40-caliber pistol./PN
