ILOILO City – Seven persons were caught engaging in illegal cockfighting in Barangay San Lucas, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
They were residents William Banaria, Jerry Dioso, Charlie Dioso, Joseph Copita, Jacob Loredo, and Roy Banari and Danilo Deocadiz of Barangay Pabriaga, Sara, Iloilo, a police report showed.
The suspects were caught around 11 a.m. on April 3.
Policemen of Barotac Viejo recovered two gaming fowls and P420 bet money from their possession.
The men were detained in the lockup facility of the Barotac Viejo police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
