ILOILO City – No official transactions for now at the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Region 6 on McArthur Highway, Barangay Quintin Salas, Jaro district. It was placed on lockdown.
Four employees tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“We have closed our office for disinfection,” said Atty. Allan Sacramento, LTO-6 operation division acting chief.
The lockdown began on Monday, April 12, until further notice.
“Affected services include operations, registration and the licensing and driving education center namon,” Sacramento added.
In the meantime, the official is encouraging the public to transact at LTO-6’s extension offices located in the towns of Calinog, Barotac Viejo and Guimbal.
As to the infected employees, Sacramento said they were all asymptomatic. They have been placed under strict home quarantine.
