ILOILO City – Looking for a job amid this pandemic?
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Region 6 is urging applicants to join its online Job and Business Fais on Labor Day, May 1.
A total of 5,800 jobs await jobseekers, according to Director Cyril Ticao.
Job vacancies include for construction workers, Information Technology experts, teachers, voice and non-voice agents, encoders, market depot analysts, and customer relations specialists, among others.
DOLE-6 will also offer jobs to fresh graduates and skilled workers.
“We find ways to innovate to continuously keep the labor sector afloat,” said Ticao in yesterday’s virtual press conference, acknowledging the adverse impact of the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic on the labor force.
The job fair will also offer opportunities to work abroad.

The applicant must register and submit the necessary documents.
As of this writing, 5,200 applicants have pre-registered.
Aside from the job fair, other government agencies are also open for queries via accessing the same link like the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, National Bureau of Investigation, Philippine Overseas Employment Administration, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, Philippine Statistics Authority, Social Security System, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Philippine Health Insurance Corp., and Department of Foreign Affairs./PN
