BACOLOD City – Joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Kabankalan City police station raided a suspected drug den in the city’s Barangay 6 over the weekend. Seventeen people were arrested.
At least 25 sachets of suspected shabu worth P102,000 were recovered, and so were several drug paraphernalia, the P500 buy-bust money, and suspected drug proceeds amounting to P500.
Police identified the arrested suspects as Ricardo Garcia, Ramil Dela Cruz, Roger Abordo, Richard Garcia, Joebel Barientos, Jan Michael Sambrano, Marlon Villaflor, Ramil Martinez, Bobby Infante, Gilbert Magaso, Jonah Lirazan, Adrian Tingson, Reynaldo Atillaga, Romer Buscado, Jeoford Juguan, Roland Jestupa, and Johnny Suico.
Two suspects managed to escape. Police identified them as George Ordonia and Reggie Matos.
According to the Kabankalan City police, the raid was conducted after they received information about suspected drug dens in the barangay.
The suspects will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
The 17 were detained in the custodial facility of the Kabankalan City police station while cops continue their manhunt operation against Ordonia and Matos./PN
