Ceneco inducts new board of directors

BACOLOD City – The Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) elected a new set of officers for its board of directors.

Jojit Yap is the newly elected President replacing Dwight Carbon who was elected to become a member of the board of directors.

 Joyce Martha Cuenca was assigned the position of vice-President, while Robert Javellana became secretary and treasurer.

Other board of directors include Eugenio Velasco Jr., Ernie Larida,  Antonino Panique, Noel Alarcon,  and Nicanor Gerald Jison .

 Ceneco consists of 10 districts, with franchise areas in Bacolod city, the towns of Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto, and the cities of Silay and Talisay, all in the province of Negros Occidental.

The officers and their respective districts are: I(Bacolod North)-Cuenca; II(Bacolod South)-Velasco; III(Bacolod Central)-Yap; IV(Bacolod East)-Larida;  V (Bacolod West)-Panique; VI (Bago City)-Javellana; District VII and X (Murcia and Don Salvador Benedicto) – Carbon; VIII (Talisay City)-Alarcon;  and IX (Silay City)-Jison.

According to Yap the election for the new set of officers was held on May 11.

One term consists of three years, after which a district election is held.

Yap said that she will propose to other members of the board to review the previous contracts and assess if existing contracts are beneficial to the cooperative./PN
