BACOLOD City – A 73-year-old man died in a vehicular accident in Barangay Tangub here.
Felix Nantha of Victorias City, Negros Occidental was hit by a truck while crossing the national highway around 9:40 a.m. on May 20.
Nantha was rushed to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here where he expired.
Truck driver Reggie Alferez of San Carlos City, Negros Occidental told the police he did not see Nantha crossing the road.
He was detained at Police Station 8.
Police said the driver may face charges for reckless imprudence resulting to homicide if there will be no amicable settlement with the victim’s family./PN
