ILOILO City – Two Muslim brothers were arrested in a police operation in Barangay Loboc, La Paz district.
They were Amer Ombar, 42, and Solayman, 19.
Personnel of the Mandurriao police station set the operation around 10 p.m. on May 25 after the suspects agreed to meet somewhere in Loboc area.
The brothers sold two grams of suspected shabu worth P11,000 to an undercover officer, police said.
When frisked, a .357-caliber revolver, a garand rifle, rifle sniper, 12 ammunitions, and garand ammunition were recovered from their possession.
The Ombars were detained in the lockup facility of the Mandurriao police station.
Charges for violation of Republic Act (RA) 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) will be filed against them./PN
