MANILA – Taekwondo jins from Aklan’s RR Taekwondo Training Center amassed 50 medals – 35 gold, 12 silver, and three bronze – in the recently held 6th World Taekwondo Online Tiburones de Venezuela.
Female jins who collected two gold medals each for the Melvin Arboleda-mentored team were Francine Clarito, Mary Klarein Tambong, Anna Vittoria Masigon, Sofhie Marie Laiz, Aryan Joy Pastrana, Mitzumi Palma, Althea Lynne Villar, and Kate Pauline Gabucay.
On the men’s side, Shaun Lacanaria, Zack Gabrielle Lacanaria, Lance Aaron Sioco, Jhon Carlo Evangelio, and Karl Lucas De Los Reyes also snatched two gold medals each.
Taking home a gold and silver medal each were Necole Cortez, Sheinron Andrade, Larenz Nino Escamelia, Michaela Joy Matorres, Gabymarl Yuri Prado, Hara Madrid, and Fredireck De Los Reyes Jr.
Meanwhile, Kirs Dianne Olmo and Euin Coleen Galera finished with a gold and bronze medal, while Darius Audric Villar and Kate Ramos garnered two silver medals. Thuj Agujitas got silver and a bronze medal.
Furthermore, the squad also triumphed in the 2021 Smart MVP Sports Foundation Online National Taekwondo Speed Kicking Championships by winning two gold and silver and seven bronze medals.
Frederick Delos Reyes Jr. and Prado clinched gold, while Anjeanette Arcenio and Evangelio became silver medalists.
The bronze medal awardees are: Laiz, Sioco, Villar, Adrian Cloud Sucgang, Lorraine Ibardolaza, Karl Lucas Delos Reyes, and Krishna Dasi Navarra./PN
