PONTEVEDRA, Capiz – Joint elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group – Capiz Provincial Field Unit and the Pontevedra police station arrested a gunrunning suspect in Barangay Sublangon.
Anthony Villasan, 41, was a resident of Barangay Poblacion Tacas.
Police said Villasan sold to an undercover cop a .45 pistol, two magazines and five bullets for P19,000 at about 11:22 a.m. on June 8.
The following were seized in the entrapment operation:
* .45 pistol with serial number 958628 Model 1911-A1 Springfield Aemory
* two magazines for a .45 pistol
* five bullets for a .45 pistol
* marked money
Villasan was brought to the CIDG – Capiz Provincial Field Unit office.
Charges for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act would be filed against him./PN
