ILOILO City – A village councilman of Barangay Gines, Janiuay, Iloilo was charged with violation of Republic Act 9208, or the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003.
Raymond Billena, 49, was arrested by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by Judge Gemalyn Faunilllo-Tarol of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 76.
Billena was caught around 8:15 a.m. on June 16. He was taken to the Janiuay police station.
No bail bond was recommended for the suspect’s temporary liberty./PN
