JORDAN, Guimaras – Cong. Ma. Lucille Nava and husband, former congressman Joaquin Carlos Rahman Nava, tested positive for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

They immediately had themselves quarantined, according to the former congressman.

The couple – both medical doctors – took a swab test on June 19. The results were released on Saturday night.

“Asymptomatic kami nga duha. Nubo ang viral load based sa amon laboratories and x-rays,” said the former congressman who is a medical doctor.

They had no idea where they contracted the virus.

“Kami ni Cong. Lucille bisan diin lang man nagakadto. We cannot avoid kay ti nagakadto kita sa hospital kay nagabulig kita kay Gov. Samuel Gumarin how to manage sa hospital,” said the former congressman who is now the special consultant for hospital concerns of the provincial government of Guimaras.

The Navas completed their two doses of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine in April yet./PN
