JAMINDA, Capiz – This town received medical supplies from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
General Manager Royina Garma turned over the supplies to Mayor Mac Valdemar in Pavia, Iloilo on Friday last week.
Among the items were personal protective equipment (PPE), medicines and wheelchairs.
According to Valdemar, these were a big help to his town.
Last year, Jamindan was also a recipient of patient transport vehicle, medical supplies, PPEs and medicines from PCSO.
Garma was in Iloilo last week to announce the resumption of Small Town Lottery in Panay Island beginning July 1.
Five franchisees (new authorized agent corporations or AACs) would be operating in the provinces of Antique, Aklan, Iloilo, Capiz, and Iloilo City.
“(I have) met ‘yong mga bagong STL agents namin… of course I have to introduce them formally sa mga local government units (LGUs) and sa ating PNP (Philippine National Police) upang ‘yong 100 percent support kinakailangan manggagaling sa kanila,” Garma said.
Iloilo province’s STL agent is the Seven Aces; ZFIC Gaming Corp. for Iloilo City; and 888 or Good Fortune (based from Davao City) for Antique and Capiz.
Panay News also tried to reach PCSO-Iloilo as to Aklan’s franchisee.
There would be two draws daily with three winning number combinations. Garma said health protocols should be observed.
“Kailangan naka-facemask ‘yong agents namin sa ground at saka face shield, at may dalang alcohol. As much as possible no contact at gumagamit ng tray, lalo na sa booth,” she added./PN
