ILOILO City – A street sweeper fainted while on duty at the Iloilo City Freedom Grandstand yesterday, July 1.
The 52-year-old Cirilo Capatayan of Barangay South Baluarte, Molo district worked under the City Environment and Natural Resources Office. He suddenly collapsed around 7:10 a.m.
He was with a companion, Marsyl Ferrer, that time.
The Iloilo City Emergency Response team immediately gave Capatayan first aid.
According to Ferrer, Capatayan had been weak these past few days.
Capatayan was reportedly suffering from heart failure and allergy. He was also recently vaccinated against coronavirus disease.
As this was being written, Capatayan’s medical status was yet to be disclosed by the hospital where he was taken./PN
