ROXAS City – A member of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of Capiz tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Provincial Board member Thea Faith Reyes herself announced her test result through social media on Sunday.
Reyes underwent reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) swab test as a requisite for her trip to Metro Manila.
Because of her positive test result, however, the trip had to be postponed.
Reyes started her 14-day quarantine yesterday, Monday. She was thankful that she was asymptomatic.
She called on her possible close contacts to undergo quarantine and monitor their health.
“Indi na gid tili-awan ang paglapta sini nga virus. Ginapangabay ko ang tanan nga ululupod kita sa pagpangamuyo sa aton mga kasimanwa nga apektado sini nga pandemya. Maghalong kita tanan, mga kasimanwa,” Reyes appealed./PN
