BACOLOD City – After 19 years of searching, police finally arrested a 47-year-old rape suspect in Barangay Himogaan, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
Rey Arevalo, a resident of the place, was caught around 1:15 p.m. on July 13.
Judge Renato Muñez of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 60 (Cadiz City, Negros Occidental) ordered the suspect’s arrest.
Arevalo was detained at the Cadiz City police station.
A P60,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
