Heightened GCQ in Bacolod, Capiz, Aklan extended

MANILA – The general community quarantine (GCQ) with heightened restrictions status for Bacolod City, Capiz and Aklan has been extended for the remainder of the month, according to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID).

Lahat ng mga quarantine restrictions na supposedly mag-end ng July 22 has been extended,” Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said during Thursday’s virtual presser.

Meanwhile, Antique, where the first two cases of the Delta variant of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Western Visayas were detected, is under GCQ with heightened restrictions, while Negros Occidental and Guimaras are under GCQ for the rest of the month.

Iloilo city and province, meanwhile, remain under the strictest enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) despite the decline in the number of COVID-19 cases there.
