BACOLOD City – A motorist was killed while his back rider was injured in a vehicular accident in Sitio Banca, Barangay Salamanca, Toboso, Negros Occidental.
Thirty-four-year-old Rey Cansancio, a resident of the village, died of severe body injuries at the Toboso Rural Health Unit, police said.
Meanwhile, his back rider, 61-year-old Jimmy Mahilum, was recuperating at the San Carlos City Hospital.
The two were onboard a motorcycle around 2 p.m. on July 25. They crashed against another motorcycle running the opposite direction.
The driver, Vicente Elmer Tiin of the town’s Barangay Poblacion, was placed under the custody of the Toboso police station./PN
