BACOLOD City – A suspected robber was stabbed dead inside a house in Barangay Villamonte here yesterday.
Police identified the fatality as 35-year-old Ernesto Vallejo, a resident of the village.
According to investigators, the man barged into the house of 65-year-old Quentin Limbaga around 4:20 a.m.
The suspect saw Limbaga and immediately attacked him with a steel pipe, police said.
Limbaga reportedly called for help and his son, 19-year-old Czedrian, responded. However, the lad was also attacked by Vallejo, police added.
The suspect then allegedly took a knife and tried to stab the elder Limbaga.
Limbaga fought back by stabbing the suspect using a katana, police said.
The suspect’s remains were brought to a local mortuary./PN
