ILOILO City – To help curb coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) transmission, the Social Security System (SSS) is encouraging clients including members, pensioners and employers to transact online.
Transacting online is way convenient that it can be done 24/7 in the comfort of home, according to Amiel Genova, acting senior communications analyst of SSS in Panay Island and Guimaras in an interview with Panay News.
“Given man siempre diri sa city and province of Iloilo nga wala pa gawa naganubo ang (COVID) cases, para man sa protection sang members naton i-advice ta lang nga kon kaya man lang i-online, i-online na lang,” said Genova.
What services can be availed of by clients via the My.SSS Portal?
For member services:
* Access to membership information, Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM), Benefit Re-Disbursement Module (BRM), Appointment System, and Simulated Retirement Calculator.
* Submission of request for membership records; Member Data Change Request for simple corrections; Maternity Notification for self-employed, voluntary, non-working spouse, and Overseas Filipino Worker members; Maternity Benefit Application and Adjustment Maternity Benefit; Unemployment Benefit Application; Funeral Benefit Application; Retirement Benefit Application (subject to qualifying conditions for online filing); Personal Equity Savings Option Application; Flexi Fund Application; SalaryLoan Application; and Pension Loan (for renewal) Application.
* Inquiry on contributions, loans, status of benefit claims, and Remittance Transfer Company/Cash Payout Outlet (RTC/CPO) reference number.
* Generation of Payment Reference Numbers (PRNs) for contributions and loans.
* Updating of security questions.
For employers:
* Access to employer information, DAEM, and BRM.
* Submission of Contribution Collection Lists (R3), Employment Reports (R1A), Loan Collection List (ML2), Sickness Benefit Reimbursement Applications (SBRAs) for new and initial claims, Maternity Benefit Reimbursement Applications (MBRAs), Adjustment of MBRAs,and Sickness and Maternity Notifications of their employees.
* Certification of their employees’ Retirement Benefit and Salary Loan Applications.
* Inquiry on contributions, loans, and status of reimbursement claims.
* Updating of contact information.
* Generation of PRNs for contributions for current and past-applicable months and for loans.
According to Genova, if the clients have not registered yet, they can log in at https://www.sss.gov.ph.
What about instances that require face-to-face transactions like payment for contribution or salary loan or death claims?
Prior to going to any branch of SSS, Genova said the clients must set an appointment – online or via hotline – for them to know of their schedule or the date they could be accommodated.
For appointment via online, clients may log in at www.sss.gov.ph and find E-Services then click the needed transaction at any SSS branch.

NUMBER CODING
On the other hand, to limit the number of clients at SSS branches, a number coding is being implemented.
This is based on the last two digits of the SSS numbers of the members or employers.
On Mondays, those accommodated shall have 1 or 2 last digit numbers; Tuesday, 3-4; Wednesday, 5-6; Thursday, 7-8; and Friday 9 or 0 (zero).
Walk-ins are not allowed, Genova added./PN
