ILOILO City – A “street level” drug pushing suspect was able to escape from Wednesday’s buy-bust operation in Barangay Tanza Timawa here.
Jovel Jereso, a resident of the village, initially sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover cop for P1,000, a police report showed.
When he sensed that the buyer was a police officer he fled, leaving behind the alleged shabu and a 12-inch bolo.
The operation happened around 3:15 p.m.
Jereso would be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, despite him being at large as of this writing./PN
