POPS Fernandez and Vicki Belo had a very interesting conversation about what it’s like to date younger men in today’s society and feeling judged for it.
In Belo’s latest vlog post released on Friday, the doctor opened up about being in a relationship with a younger man and the gender dynamic at play.
“Kasi, we get judged, grabe,” Belo said. “Older guys kapag 75 years old, nagde-date ng 25, walang reklamo.”
“Merit pa ‘yon sa kanila,” responded the Centerstage judge.
“Pero pag babae mas older, my gosh judgment everywhere,” Vicki continued.
Pops admitted having gone through such judgment. “I felt like, pinilit ko ‘yung partner ko,” she said, to which Belo answered, “Or pera lang hanap sa iyo.”
“First of all, I don’t offer money. I’m kuripot,” Pops said jokingly.
“Kawawa rin for the guys because they get judged, and they’re not like that. They don’t see it as an honest-to-goodness relationship. I went through a lot of that, and I cried about those things also,” Pops continued.
These days, Pops is happily single and just waiting for love to come.
“It’s hard to believe I’m not sad. I was sad. I was lonely. We put it in our minds that for you to be happy, you have to have a partner. But I realized I’m okay. I’m happy,” she shared.
As we all know, Belo is happily married to Hayden Kho, who is 23 years her junior. Meanwhile, Pops dated younger men in the past, including model Brad Turvey.(GMA News)
