MANILA – Negros Occidental-based taekwondo jins dazzled and reaped medals for their respective teams in the 2021 PTA MVPSF/Smart Visayas Online Speed Kicking Championship last Sunday.
Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers New Gen got a gold haul from Cypher Rojas, Paulo Izac Lopez, Gadiel Estor, Cyan James Rojas, Cydric Rojas, Jerik Paiwas, Ceanne Rosquillo, Wynnona Chavez, El John Alinar, Cipriano Lumanog, Leigh Andee Rodriguez, and Julio Zapata.
The stable also had silver medals from Dasal Moriah Beatingo, Charlize Florentino, Cyrah Marie Rojas, Winefred Sipat Jr., and Kenjie Aunzo, and bronzes from Ianne Rose Treyes, Gadiel Estor, Julienne Zapata, Jose Macayaran, and Prince Fiel Delas Alas.
Meanwhile, Crishar Himamaylan TKD Training Center notched gold medals behind stunning performances by Adrian Mancera, Sophia Estelloso, Erika Mendieta, Ethan Chavez, Kent Bautista, and Louie Olavia.
Kim Ellaraiz, Cleric Tabula, Alkor Manguilimutan, Alexandre Estremadura, Rhianne Pamatmat, Rea Reyes, Thelma Tiangson, Ryon Pamatmat, and Kent Yanson finished with silver medals, while Cian Tabula, Lycah Segura, Natasha Rodrigazo, Myla Bautista, and Jairus Tonogbanua were bronze medalists.
On the other hand, Pia Openio, Ana Carido, and Lyr Sendico bagged gold medals for Team Phikoma Cadiz City. Kyle Zedrick Baban, Jeincis Carian, and Yohance Manangan ended with silver medals, while Ayesa Manangan, Erich-Eunin Geli, Rhiane Llaguno, Jerea Peñas, Rein Llaguno, and Dexie Chavez scored bronzes.
Hilado Bros Taekwondo, for its part, has two gold medals from Kynna Nicole Suating and Axel Hilado and bronzes from Hanna Lissa Garcia, Johann Piel, Smith Lamis, and Robert Taguiwalo.
Other Western Visayas-based taekwondo stables like Antique TKD Academy reaped six golds, 10 silvers, and four bronzes, while Venancio Taekwondo Academy Capiz garnered five golds, eight silvers, and two bronzes./PN
