ILOILO City – Ten persons allegedly engaging in illegal cockfighting were arrested on Sunday in Barangay Pulo Maestra Vita, Oton, Iloilo.
They were Joey Sainz, Simplicio Gagnao, Gabriel Java, Reven Anaod, Wilfredo Peñascosas, Rio Frio, Charles John Anas, all residents of Barangay Hibao-an, Pavia, Iloilo.
Others were Regie Majero of Barangay Hibao-an, Mandurriao district; Julius Juarez of Barangay Ban-ag, Alimodian, Iloilo; and Allan Valderama of Barangay Bita Sur, Oton.
The suspects were caught around 1:35 p.m.
Recovered from their possession were four game fowls and P3,450 bet money.
They were detained at the Oton police station./PN
