ILOILO – The local government building of San Joaquin town will resume its operations on Wednesday, Sept. 1.
The municipal hall has been closed since Thursday last week; 18 employees tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
“But kon emergency cases, may tawo kita sa Operations Center nga nagabaton sang queries kag mag-inform sa office concerned,” said Dr. Abraham Elgario, head of the Municipal Health Office (MHO).
The COVID-19-positiv employees, mostly asymptomatic, are currently on quarantine.
Most of them were from the MHO, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office and Municipal Agriculture Office.
Based on the contact tracing done so far, Elgario said, “wala naman sang nagdugang nga positive among the employees.”
The index cases were three municipal employees; 15 close contacts were subsequently swabbed and turned out positive, too, for COVID-19./PN
