CAPIZ – Six health personnel at the Tapaz District Hospital in Tapaz town tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to the hospital’s administrative officer Rose Babe Gabucay, all of the personnel’s close contacts were placed on quarantine.

Due to these infections, the hospital is temporarily not accepting admissions and out-patient consultations “until further notice.”

However, it will continue catering to emergency, trauma and direct-to-delivery room cases with a skeletal work force.

Gabucay informed Provincial Administrator and Hospital Management Section head Edwin Monares about this in a letter sent yesterday.

Decontamination of the hospital was also launched./PN
