FORMER beauty queen Venus Raj got candid about her experience doing a photoshoot again recently.
Venus shared that she had a hard time posing for the camera again during her pictorial.
“You know that feeling when you can’t do the things that you used to do excellently? It’s been a while since I did a photoshoot. I can’t remember when was the last one,” she said in an Instagram post.
She also became conscious of her weight gain.
“I felt so rusty! Lost the confidence to model in front of the camera. Was so conscious about my body because I gained weight,” the beauty queen continued.
She added: “I wonder how many women out there feel the same way when people would tell them ‘uy! taba mo na ah! Or when they feel unhealthy and cannot do the activities that they used to enjoy.”
Venus encouraged women to not let their weight defined their worth.
“Ladies, I feel you. But let us not allow others and even our self-perception to steal the joy in our hearts. Yes! Let’s live a healthier life. Eat healthy food. Exercise for the right reasons. LADIES, YOUR WORTH IS NOT DEFINED BY YOUR WEIGHT!” she remarked.
Venus Raj was crowned Bb. Pilipinas Universe in 2010. She became 4th-runner up at the Miss Universe 2010 pageant.(Push)
