ILOILO City – Two illegal drug personalities fell in the hands of the police in separate anti-illegal drug operations.
In Brgy. Cuartero, Jaro early morning yesterday, police authorities arrested Nelson Buenavides Jr., 20, of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo. One sachet of suspected shabu was recovered from his possession.
Personnel of the Jaro police station initially chased Buenavides on board of his tricycle because of a certain violation but when caught and frisked, the police recovered from him one sachet of suspected shabu.
Buenavides denied he owned the said illegal drug and said the plastic was only handed to him by a certain Suli. He claimed to have no idea that it contained illegal drugs.
In Zarraga, Iloilo, police operatives was also able to collar Alberto Provido, 35, of Brgy. Dawis. The drug-bust was conducted by Zarraga municipal police station headed by Senior Insp. Fred Blones.
Recovered from Provido’s possession were four sachets of suspected shabu, cellphone and P440 marked money.
Blones said Provido admitted that he was shifting the said drugs from Iloilo City but he refused to name his source.
The two suspects face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act./PN
