CAPIZ – An ambulance and a passenger bus collided in Barangay Malitbog, Tapaz, Capiz on Oct. 3, killing one person and injuring two others.
The casualty was ambulance driver Joemarie Gasis, 39. He succumbed to fatal head injuries. He also fractured a leg.
Those injured were Charlyn Distajo, 24, and a 12-year-old boy. Both were passengers of the Calinog Bus Line.
The driver of the bus, Jomary Gello, 35, was taken to the Tapaz police station.
The ambulance was going to a spot in Barangay Malitbog to respond to an electrocution incident when it collided with the bus which was from Calinog.
According to Gello, he lost control of the bus while evading a parked tricycle.
Aside from the ambulance, the bus also hit a house./PN
