“Considering that Boracay Island is now open to more areas in the Philippines, we continue to equip our tourism workers with the knowledge and skills on how to handle tourists while observing minimum health and safety protocols,” said DOT regional director Cristine Mansinares.
The training sessions under DOT’s Tourism Industry Skills Program (TISP) comprise of courses on front office operations, basic housekeeping and the Filipino Brand of Service Excellence. These will run until Oct. 29 with 120 participants.
“Let us bring forth the best Filipino hospitality and deliver tourism experiences that are fun, safe, and sustainable,” Mansinares added.
