ILOILO – The Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) has not yet identified “areas of concern” in the May 2022 elections.
“Wala pa kami lista, pero may mga security plans na kami,” said Police Colonel Gilbert Gorero, IPPO director.
In this province, according to Gorero, “daw wala man gid sang grabe nga (political) rivalry.”
The campaign period for local elections will be from March 25 to May 7, 2022.
“We are calling on candidates to observe sportsmanship and respect,” said Gorero.
Meanwhile, IPPO is monitoring possible extortion activities of the New People’s Army.
“They would take advantage of the election season,” said Gorero.
