Two Global is NEARSOL Philippines’ (7th) hub in the country.

Being indemand means more accounts.  More accounts mean more seats.  With the acquisition of Two Global, NEARSOL Philippines is set to add 1,400 seats.  This is solid proof that NEARSOL is completely committed to continuous improvement and exceptional service.

What makes a home a home?

Owned or rented, tiny and cramped or sprawling and spacious, your home is a place of refuge.  It’s where you keep your most personal belongings – a place where you feel accepted and safe.

Our homes tell a story and to make any dwelling feel like one, there always has to be an emotional connection, a sense of belonging.

So what makes a house, a room, or even an area a “home”?

It’s truly less structure and more about experiences.  It’s the smell of cooking, the laughter of children, it’s the neighborhood sounds when you get up in the morning.  That luxurious granite top or custom sofa, though nice to have, doesn’t matter much.  

The same can be said when it comes to your place of work.  With the economy getting back on its feet and with people heading back to offices, how your workplace “feels” becomes even more important.  Is it a place of stress and pressure? Or it is a space of growth and productivity.   

Here’s how to make your workplace feel more like a sanctuary:

• PRIORITIZE TEAM GOALS – Disagreements and occasional argumentsare unavoidable.  It happens to even the most close-knit of families.  But when everyone is on the same page when it comes to the company’s goals and objectives, the work moves forward.   

• PROMOTE WORK-LIFE BALANCE – Employees sacrifice a lot to meet their goals and quotas – often at the expense of their personal lives.  Rest days, leaves, and wellness campaigns must be held sacred.  It shouldn’t be looked upon as slacking off.  Wellness does wonders for productivity in the long run.

• MAINTAIN CONTINUOUS TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS – Upskilling and training programs are a given.  But why not add a variety of training programs that don’t necessarily have anything to do with their job description?  Meditation techniques, yoga, no equipment workouts, conflict resolution at home, seminars for parents / single moms / single dads … a holistic approach to wellness that may include habit improvements is most appreciated especially at this time.

• PROMOTE A CHILL ATMOSPHERE – This doesn’t mean dispensing with the necessary formalities.  Respecting ranks is still possible while promoting a light-hearted atmosphere.  It isn’t one or the other.  Encourage respectful sense of humor.  Keep meetings short.   Treat your team members to lunch or coffee every so often. Most importantly, keep things positive.  

Work is work. But work can become play if it feels safe and homey.
