Life goes on, and so on

I DO NOT have a death wish.

I just have a passion for life.

And in times like this, when life as we know it is threatened, I just have to kick and fight, and let the world know that I’m still alive.

***

I am not a very political person.

I endured a Trump presidency in the US.

I also suffered a Duterte presidency in the Philippines.

For the record, I campaigned, and voted, for Duterte.

I have also been vocal about my regret about that.

But I didn’t join any clamor or movement for ousting him.

***

I believe in karma, or in the sense that what comes around comes around.

That people get what they deserve.

That goodness and evil always play the game of the wheel of fortune.

After Trump, Biden.

After Marcos, Cory.

After Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, PNoy.

***

I am a Filipino.

And my heart will always be for the Philippines and the Filipino people.

But it doesn’t mean that I won’t call out the stupidity of the Filipino people.

Of course, you can always criticize me for calling Filipinos (who don’t think like I do) stupid.

Go ahead, criticize me.

***

Didn’t people criticize Joan of Arc?

Didn’t people criticize anyone who ever mattered in history?

Didn’t people criticize Jesus Christ, too?

I mean, criticize me for saying the truth, for God’s sake!

***

Whoever will be elected president in 2022, we will all have to deal with.

That’s life going on, with or without us.

That the poor will suffer more, that’s for sure.

That the stupid will have big regrets, that’s coming.

That those who have been fooled will feel betrayed; and I have seen, and experienced, that myself.

***

I’m not very political.

That’s why I want those who are to do things right.

I’m pretty pink, so do not try to win me over.

But, Pink People, hear my advice: the war is not on social media.

The real battle is with the Classes D and E, who often do not even have access to social media.

So, stop fighting in the wrong platform.

And do not preach to the choir.

Instead, get them pedestrians who do not even know your candidate.

***

While I love the idea of digital warriors to combat the troll farms of the rich thieves, I still would prefer to see people turning the undecided.

There’s a place for the war against fake news, and misinformation.

But there’s a better battle to win among those who are non-informed, and/or undecided.

***

I like the idea of winning the undecided.

And in a way, I’m thinking that those who are Pacquiao supporters can be won over for the Pink Camp.

Those who said they chose Pacquiao (in desperation) can be turned pink.

Meanwhile, do not argue with people who have been paid by Pacquiao.

They will continue to milk the boxer, and ditch him on the last day.

***

I just have to say this:

Those who choose Pacquiao are not really the smartest of people.

Get them, and turn them pink.

Those who advise Pacquiao are some of the smartest people.

Do not engage them, they are getting paid.

I have nothing against the boxer.

(I’m not affected by his homophobia!)

I just want Pacquiao to have some regrets after the elections of 2022.

And then, we can move on. Haha.

***

Some of my so-called friends want to argue with me about their presidential bets.

I don’t engage them.

I’m 52, and I don’t want to be stressed by people’s stupidity.

Again, I can choose to die in some exotic foreign country.

Do I really want friends who will contradict me at this stage of my life?

***

Will I really go crazy if the Philippines choose the son of a thief to be our next president?

I do not have a death wish.

But I have plenty of options where to die.

Most of the Filipinos don’t.

So cry, my beloved country!/PN
