ILOILO City – Mayor Jerry Treñas set new guidelines on the use of the Iloilo River Esplanades.
All are open to the public, however, bikers are prohibited in Esplanades 1 and 2.
Treñas explained that while the city government supports bikers, it acknowledges that some residents, especially the elderly, wish to freely exercise.
There is no time limit in accessing the esplanades, Treñas said.
Treñas also appealed to the public to properly dispose of their trash, and those with pets must be responsible.
The Public Safety and Traffic Management Office, Compliance Office and the City Environment and Natural Resources Office were tasked to keep the Iloilo River Esplanades safe./PN
