‘No vaxx card, no entry’ to Molo Plaza

ILOILO City – Only visitors fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) are allowed entry to the district plaza of Molo.

Mayor Jerry Treñas tasked the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) to spearhead the regulation of the plaza following reports of crowding.

Loiterers will also not be allowed, according to CENRO head Noel Hechanova. CENRO is planning to limit the number of people entering to 75 to 100 at a time.

Bringing food inside the plaza is also not allowed. While kids are allowed to enter, they must be accompanied by their vaccinated guardians or parents.

The city mayor, however, emphasized that babies should not be brought inside the plaza.

A “one entrance and one exit” scheme is also observed.

Molo plaza is one of the most visited district plazas since the city’s quarantine alert status was relaxed because of its beautiful Christmas lights and parols./PN
