ROXAS City – The city government has vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) 3,721 minors between 12 and 1 7 years old since Nov. 10. when it started pediatric vaccination against the viral illness.
Pfizer-made COVID-19 vaccines were used, according to the City Health Office (CHO).
The city government hopes to vaccinate 19,609 minors.
A CHO vaccinator observed that “mas excited kag maisog ang mga kabataan kumpara sa mga adults nga amon nabakunahan.”
“Gusto na gid nila kuno magkabalik sa normal para mag-enjoy kaupod ila mga classmates, friends kag teachers. Bored na gid sila sa home quarantine,” the vaccinator added.
One teenager said he grabbed the chance to get vaccinated in order to get protection from COVID-19.
“Sa wakas, vaccinated na gid man kami! Walang forever sa quarantine. Indi gid manami sa mental health ang two years nga priso sa balay,” a 17-year-old lad said.
Another youngster, 16 years old, said, “Indi masakit. Mas masakit kon indi ko makita si crush. Katalaka na sang quarantine!”/PN
