ILOILO City – A 20-year-old man hanged himself on Wednesday in Barangay Balud, Zarraga, Iloilo.
Poverty may have driven him to despair, according to his wife Michaela.
The police was withholding the man’s name. According to Michaela, she woke up seeing her husband hanging from the ceiling of their room around 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 24.
The couple had two children – six-year-old twins
The man, a construction worker, was rushed to the Don Jose S. Monfort Medical Center in Barotac Nuevo where he was pronounced dead.
The couple was living with Michaela’s parents.
