BACOLOD City – For reportedly creating alarm and scandal, a man was hacked in Barangay Manghanoy, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
Twenty-eight-year-old Arnel Legazpe was found bleeding in a sugarcane field. He had a hack wound on the neck.
He was recuperating at the La Castellana Rural Health Unit.
Tagged suspect was Rodrigo Mission, 42, a resident of the village.
Investigation disclosed around 10 p.m. on Dec. 1, Mission was sleeping with his family when awakened by Legazpe’s shout.
The victim, who appeared to be drunk, reportedly hurled a stone at the house, hitting Mission’s daughter on the chest.
Mission took a cane cutter and attacked Legazpe, police added.
