3-day vax drive in Region 6 peaceful

ILOILO City – The three-day “Bayanihan Bakunahan” National Vaccination Days in Western Visayas was generally peaceful.

No untoward incidents related to it were recorded from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, according to Police Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, public information officer of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6).

For the entire period of the program, PRO-6 deployed more than 800 personnel to secure various vaccination sites across the region.

Additionally, the PRO-6 deployed 167 personnel as medical reserve force and 126 more as encoder and technical support.

“The successful security coverage was the result of the close coordination and collaboration among government agencies and cooperation of every individual visiting the different vaccination sites,” said Solis.

According to PRO-6 director Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, the deployed personnel showed commitment and dedication to duty.

He also thanked other government agencies for the collective effort to bringing the three-day event to success.
