The inflation rate in the country slowed down to 4.3 percent in November 2021, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported Tuesday, slightly lower than the 4.6 percent recorded in October 2021.
“The reason behind the inflation slowdown in November 2021 is the slow movement in the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 3.9 percent inflation, which constitutes 93.2 percent share in the slower overall inflation in the country,” the PSA said in a tweet.
The PSA said the November inflation rate brought the average inflation so far this year to 4.5 percent.
Meanwhile, PSA reported that inflation also slowed down to 2.9 percent in the National Capital Region.
“In NCR, the reason behind the slowing down of inflation is the slow movement in the price of food and non-alcoholic beverages at 1.7 percent inflation, which constitutes 94.8 percent share in the lower inflation this November 2021.),” the PSA said. (©Philippine Daily Inquirer 2021)
