BACOLOD City – A wanted man in Sitio Candomong in Barangay Sicaba, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental was arrested on Monday.
Police served three arrest warrants to 52-year-old Saragani Acosta Jr. around 11:15 a.m.
These were for violations of:
* Commission on Elections gun ban dated Jan. 1, 2010 – Judge Renato Muñez of the Regional Trial Court (RTC), Branch 60 (Cadiz City) set the bail at P60,000.
* Republic Act (RA) 8550 (Philippine Fisheries Code of 1998), two counts, dated July 26, 2011 – Judge Reginald M. Fuentebella of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities (Cadiz City) recommended a P20,000 bail bond.
* RA 8550 dated June 20, 2016 – Judge Raymund Joseph Javier of RTC, Branch-60 approved a P100,000 bail bond.
The suspect was detained at the Cadiz City police station./PN
