CAPIZ – This Christmas season is the best time to receive a vaccine against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), according to the Provincial Health Office (PHO).
“This is the best gift you can give to yourself and your love ones,” said Dr. Ramon Alex Nolasco, provincial health officer.
The provincial government, in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH), will observe the Bayanihan Bakunahan Part 2 from today, Dec. 13, until Dec. 17.
The event, a sequel to the recent National Vaccination Days from Nov. 29 to Dec. 1, will be spearheaded by the PHO.
Nolasco urged the still unvaccinated and those already eligible for their second and booster shots to participate in the Bayanihan Bakunahan Part 2.
As of Dec. 10, the PHO data showed a total of 236,893 Capiznons (41 percent of the 568,364 total target population) already fully vaccinated against COVID-19./PN
